Hi Lisa and thanks for the feedback! Yes, I recommend the Argentario Peninsula first …. 😉

Oh! I feel you… yes please, try to make it another time… Thanks for renouncing to your trip, and I hope you can reschedule, Naples is very very special. Moreover, feel free to connect when you visit!

Had to cancel Naples because of Covid 9 and I intend to visit Italy as soon as I can – just working my way from the north, one city at a time.

I’ve done a few of these (Pompeii being my favorite), but you’ve brought a couple of interesting sites to my attention that I’d love to visit. The Etruscan Necropolis of Banditaccia I bet is fascinating, and only €6 to visit including a guided tour? Ancient Ostia sounds great as well. Visiting an archeological site and then a great beach is my idea of a perfect day 😀

Rome to Bologna road trip looks beautiful and even exploring the towns in the Lake Bracciano Natural Reserve is the most beautiful thing to do here.

I do to! 😀
We only stayed in Rome for a weekend and I am sure that there is so much more to see, even though we did a lot of the more touristy things.
My favorite was the st Angelo Castel, I just loved the museum and the rooftop cafe, that view with a glass of wine was great!

I would love to go to Civita Di Bagnoregio – looks so beautiful! It’s time I plan a visit to Rome again! 🙂

Just back from Naples which I loved. And just found some great tickets to Rome, but having been there a 100 times already, we were wondering where else we could head to. Thanks for the inspiration!

But your description of Bologna has really piqued my interest – love that it’s such a foodie place, and the architecture looks beautiful.
